Where does the name "Villi" come from?

Seriously, I don't think it was anywhere in the game.  The only thing I can think of is the room "The Villi People", but  that's just about how the formations in the room look sort of like intestinal villi or something.

this might help even though it's very old and informal

Villis are carnivourus, bipedal animals with fur, usually not noticable since it doesn't fluff out unless in extremely cold conditions.

>carnivourus
>fur
>fluff out in cold

This is where I draw the line. That is not and never will be my definition of them.

I remember someone saying that.
I might be wrong, though.

I also think Terry never said anything about that.

i'd search terry's twitter for more information on this, but i'm too lazy to go all the way back and find stuff like where he said viridian was gender-neutral. apparently a lot of stuff on terry's twitter is canon to the game

If it doesn’t, keep searching for “How do I search someone’s tweets?”

After a quick usage of a somewhat widely-preferred search engine, I found this, which might help.
