No, we’re talking about Ved now.

Speaking of which, didn’t someone put Ved on a webpage one time?

Yeah, the current WIP state is always on the repository: https://gitgud.io/Dav999/ved/tree/master/Source (if a big version is in development, I may use the feature branch instead of master, but right now I don't - just check where the most recent changes are)

You need to have LÖVE installed to run it, and you can either make a zip containing all the source files/folders, and rename the .zip to .love, or you can run it from the command line/terminal (see this page for more on that)

If you'd rather not package it yourself or download 136 MB for the other folders with all the previous versions (only Source is relevant, and I haven't found a way to specifically download one folder from the Gitlab site instead of the entire repository), then just tell me, and I'll happily make a package for this WIP version!

I should have seen this before trying to make a level in a short duration.  :suicide:
This sounds really awesome but I guess I will not be using this anytime as it is unlikely that I will ever make another level.

Are you going to contribute to Open2v2?

I mean he said that it's unlikely he'll make a new level but I hope so

I ask two questions in two posts, not two questions in one post.

Ved 1.2.0 has been released!

The most important new features are:
  • Ved now automatically makes backups of level files that you overwrite when saving. This is configurable, of course. (If you're on Windows and see a command prompt window flash when saving, that's normal, it's part of making the backup)
  • You can now click to set your cursor position in the script editor and in the level notes editor.
  • There's now proper support for subdirectories in the levels folder.

Ved 1.3.0 has been released!

Aside from the improved undo system, here are some screenshots to show some new features:

They seem to have had an outage, it's back up now. (Their status page is here: http://status.sapphire.moe/)

I'll add an alternate way to download the latest version of Ved from this site, so that if GitGud is down, people can still download the latest version!

Ved 1.4.0 is out!

A few features worth highlighting:

You can now use the font from the VVVVVV graphics folder in all of Ved.

The code for dialogs is being rewritten, allowing multiple dialogs to be on screen at the same time, which in turn stops dialogs from preventing you to quit Ved until you close them. Plugins can now also create their own dialogs and customize them much further with less hacky code edits. And when creating a new level, you'll now get a Save/Discard/Cancel dialog instead of an "are you sure" dialog.

There's now a screen where you can see how close you are to hitting VVVVVV limits...

Thanks to r00ster, Ved now comes with a German language option!

Also, you can also use ctrl+D in the script editor and level notes to delete the current line!

There's more, which you can find in the changelog as usual. Have fun!

(oh, and should you be confused about the April Fools' update which was called Ved 1.4: Ved's true version numbering system always has three parts, 1.4.0 is never abbreviated to 1.4. That's how you can tell them apart!)

Ved was the best thing to ever happen to VVVVVV.

Ved 1.5.0 has been released!

Again, some of the improvements in images:

The levels list now shows dates of last modification! (You can change the date and time formats in the language dialog).
The technical changes to the file-related functions have more effects that can be noticed on Windows: there are no more flashing command prompt windows, and if your account username or your level filenames use international characters or the like, everything should now work smoothly.

This image speaks for itself, and I'm planning to add more helpful features like this to the script editor!

As always, you can find the full list of changes here: https://tolp.nl/ved/download

For those who haven't seen it yet: Ved 1.6.0 has been released!

There are some major new features, including a music editor, and many other things.

I thought the best way to show the most important changes was in a video, so enjoy:
