yey

for starters i like the steam achievements. i also like how they updated automatically from your current save. (15 achievement popups in the corner)

Omg, the special 3DS final level music is included!
And the fullscreen + gamepad work very well.
Edit: Aww, Ethan removed the "open level folder" button.  :(

Special final level music eh? Interesting. Wonder if I should look into a way to detect 2.2 within scripting (as opposed to 2.0-2.1) and see if you can use it in custom levels with fallback to the main Predestined Fate without breaking 2.0 compatibility.

Help! I got VVVVVV from the Humble Store, but it isn't there anymore. How do I update?

I can still get the MP edition, but I'd prefer to have the real deal.

I think the Steam version got updated first, and I guess the patch for other versions of the game will come later today.

I had a feeling that Terry just left the whole game in the Make & Play edition and only kept off the menu. I decided to try this, and indeed the main game indeed was left in... kind of.
All scripts was left in, all gamestates was left in (tOLP and BTV still works just fine). There was however one thing that wasn't - the maps themselves.
The main dimension was replaced by endless space. But the most hilarity started when I activated a Time Trial - it loaded a friggin custom level's level data in it, and was in general incredibly buggy. Pretty hilarious :P
The polar dimension was also affected - it loads finalmode, but still uses the data of whatever custom level you visited last.

also I noticed a goof in the Game Options menu. actually, three goofs depending on how you look at it:

The M&P version is for some reason not saving custom levels after exiting. Going to look into why this happens.

Haha, that didn't take long :D

Yeah, the actual map contents for (most but not all) of the game are just #ifdef'ed out of the Make and Play version, but all the scripts are still there. I didn't want to break any of the cool internal script stuff :)

Found the issue. Basically, what happens is this (in Windows at least!)

* "Play level" menu reads from (vvvvvv-dir)/levels
* Level editor reads from (vvvvvv-dir)/
* Level editor saves to (vvvvvv-dir)/levels
* If the level only exists in (vvvvvv-dir)/levels, the level editor WILL load the level correctly.

Basically, the level editor is loading it incorrectly, but stuff works otherwise.

As far as I know it's not out for not-Steam yet

You can download the Make & Play version though, it's the same thing but without the main map

Seems all issues from 2.1 wasn't fixed - the rendering was, and the warpline bug was (thank god), but a few of the minor issues is still there - for instance, 19,8 (20,9 according to level editor) still wraps in all directions unless you override it with warp lines and/or "normal" wrapping, The Tower location still loads the entire column, say(x,terminal) is still broken, and a few other things.

There doesn't seem to be the Predestined Fate remix in the game (M&P version, at least). aw man
