I'd like to be a contributor. I promise not to mess stuff up like last time.
I have nothing to prove I should be one, I have nothing to prove that I'll do good, all I have to say is please.
I don't even really care about this. If I'm accepted, I'll either

• Do what people order me to and nothing on my own.
• Wear the rank and nothing else, like my tester rank.
• Just be happy.

I'm not sure if I should ask if you want to present a level, since you made it clear you don't really care, but that is what I would do at this point (even knowing you have been a contributor before)
