It's hard. The scanner seems to aim at more to confuse me than help me.
Can't pass the room with the cube in the blue world T_T

A tip: When using the scanner, there are shadows below the level geometry. These are directly below the blocks.

I figured this out. But it still doesn't help :(

Still stuck on the same room. I have to say I don't really like the game atm. The shadows are very confusing; there are no clues; a majority of difficulty comes from strange graphics; and how the system force you to redo rooms.....The difficulty is almost entirely artificial, and a system that aims at decimating trial-and-error gameplay doesn't help in a game that takes a LOT of trial-and-error gameplay. Then of course if you use the scanner, you either get confused and ragequit, or likely figure out all rooms quickly. I don't like this.
Maybe if I finally pass the room, it will help :violet:
Still looking forward to Halting Problem though......

What?
This game is legit!
What are you talking about?
The shadows aren't confusing at all, it's pretty straightforward actually!
And I didn't get confused and ragequit, I just had to turn off my computer.
I didn't figure out the rooms really quickly either.

Jony, I was trying to hide the fact that I suck at puzzle games  :suicide:
Although this seems like a very suitable time to use this: http://distractionware.wikia.com/wiki/Dammit,_Jony

professor layton games
I played the first one in the series. It's a very good game. I lost the charges of my Nintendo DS and I didn't have a 3DS for the newer ones anyway, but I still wish to play them.....

I just look up a walkthrough to see how to beat the room. The solution was cheap and stupid. Really it doesn't make sense. The scanner does a really poor job at predicting path, and I honestly do not think that you can magically guess that there's a major difference between standing half-in-the-ground and directly-on-the-ground. I am only trying as this is a game of Terry, but this is really nonsense.
I think the game seems to expect you to learn things when you don't even get chances to. The fact that you have to repeat puzzles you have already beaten does not help.

EDIT: Finally beat the game. I wish the game started with the final area, as it's actually pretty awesome.

I did not find it cheap at all.
The scanner does a perfectly fine job.
I was never confused about what the scanner was doing.
Either I'm the super puzzle master or none of you are good at puzzle games.

The routing is harder because you have to actually memorize more.

Why? What’s wrong with bumping a bunch of half-year old topics?

And I’d like to stay on-topic, thank you very much.
