I've more or less finished the 333333 map, excluding items.

EDIT: Fixed room boundaries and "glow" pixels being the same color.

  • Take a screenshot of the ingame map.
  • Determine the room size on the map.  Standard size is 12x9, but smaller maps have larger rooms.
  • Each level room (that is, not overworld) has 3 colors: the primary wall color, the wall glow color, and the room separator color.
  • You draw the primary wall color where you cannot pass through in the level, and the wall glow around that.  Walls inside of rooms don't matter unless they affect the room order.
  • There is no room separator to the overworld (crazya02 actually gets this one wrong).
  • Items go in the center of the room, unless there's two; then they're placed side by side (if there's three, sorry, there's no precedent for that)
  • If you're still unsure about something, check the map for Dimension VVVVVV

I suppose there is one thing I forgot: the screen size must be a multiple of 320x240; this can be modified directly by opening "unlock.vvv" in your level saves folder with a plain text editor, like Notepad.  Then you have to scale the screenshot by 1 divided by what you multiplied the image dimensions by.
